Urban Calm
I have been exploring different parts of Salt Lake City in search of scenes that invoke a sense of peace and order through architecture, geometry, and color. Composing, photographing, editing, and viewing these scenes calms and relaxes me. Life in the city can be stressful, but by exploring its hidden corners, I have been able to find these scenes of urban tranquility. The man-made landscape offers a variety of calm-inducing features, ranging from grungy backlots and derelict buildings to empty plazas and pristinely crafted architectural spaces. This is an ongoing project that will be updated whenever I make new work.
